Fibrous filtering material NEL-3
NEL-3 is intended for the sampling of aerosols, including radioactive ones, with firm particles, for measuring of amount, properties and structure of a caught disperse-phase.
NEL-3 can be used for the fabrication of analytical aerosol filters AFA, for thin clearing of air, gases, and fluids.
NEL-3 is like a tight, uniform fibrous layer of white colour, composed of ultra thin fibres, connected at locations of intersection. Due to the properties above, the material has a smooth, non-fuzzy surface and tight structure.
NEL-3 is hydrophobic, stable to the affects of acids, weak alkalis, solutions of salts; is not diluted in alcohol, hexane; diluted in dichlorethane, tetrachlorethane, toluene, xylol, tetrahydro-furan; swelled in four-chloride carbon, benzol, dibutilftalate, tricresilphosphate.
- Surface density of the filtering material: 15 ±2 g/m2;
- Resistance of material to air flow at a velocity of 1 сm/s: 10 ±2 Pа;
- Penetration rate of an oily fog, with an average particle radius of 0.14-0.17 mkm at a filtration velocity of 170 cm/s: 15% at most.
The conformity of NEL-3 to the technical requirements is guaranteed for a period of 10 years from the time of fabrication at observance of conditions of transportation and storage by the consumer.
